Over the last month, I have had many emails sent to me asking me about the same thing. What are you doing now? or We have not seen a blog in a while. What are you doing?
I will tell you…
I have been working hard to simplify my life. I have had a bit of depression, PTSD is up and so is my doubt of self. When this happens, I shut off and dive inward. Here is what I have been doing.
Self-Care has become the new FRI-YAY activity.
I have told myself that it is ok to take a hot bubble bath and listen to music. It is ok to sit back grab tea or coffee and read that book. It is ok to take that nap. It is ok to take…..whatever that take is. I needed to take more. I am giving all day. I give give give so I am learning to take. I noticed that I was looking at friend’s profiles and thinking gosh I wish I had that time. Well, Faith, you do! So I just had to become ok with the take of my own life, my very own time and in my own way. What makes me happy?

What makes me happy is new to me.
I am sure that topic alone will be a new blog. I am not sure what makes me happy. This me. The post COVID, Alway Exhausted, Social Anxiety, Mommy Mode all the time person….What does make me happy… Well this is the path I have been on over the last month….
I have been reading a ton of great books and journaling.
Will, I Ever Be Good Enough?: Healing the Daughters of Narcissistic Mothers by McBride Ph.D., Dr. Karyl
I Hear You: The Surprisingly Simple Skill Behind Extraordinary Relationships by Sorensen, Michael S.
Positive Thinking by Katherine Flannery
Unfu*k Yourself by Gary John Bishop
Let That Sh*t Go by Monica Sweeney
Bible in 52 weeks by Dr. Kimberly D. Moore
Prayer Journal for Women by Elizabeth Crowley

I have been listening to some amazing podcasts and audibles.

Work It Out (Mel Robbins)
Take Control of Your Life (Mel Robbins)
You Are the Guru (Gabrielle Bernstein)
PurposeFULL (Melissa Ambrosini)
Elevation (Steven Furtick)
Crash the Chatterbox (Steven Furtick )
I have been watching some cool stuff on Netflix, Hulu, Disney and Prime.
The list of things is wild and long. I would say that I am so glad that I got to see all these things but what value did it have in my life other than self-care, avoidance and sleepless nights.
I have taken time to look into what I am putting in and on my body.
My Pharmaceuticals, my Supplements, my Food and looking at what I put on my body. Yes, even soaps, perfume, makeup (and more). I have made adjustments. I have taken the time to try to do better.
This last week I joined Evolution Church. I have signed up for Wed night Bible Study group on Zoom and I have been able to go to the church via YouTube Live and Facebook Live.

I am looking forward to TAKING MORE TIME FOR ME!
